We are looking for an Employment Initiatives Officer

The post holder will have an integral role in proactively supporting our customers to build strong foundations for a successful tenancy through improving their employment prospects and personal resilience.

You will work flexibly, with a customer-centric approach, to guide customers both individually and in group settings to increase their skills, competence and confidence and move them closer, and ultimately in, to work.

You will have a working knowledge of client progression options such as skills and vocational training, work placement, job searching and volunteering, and have a strong background in developing and delivering training programmes.

You will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a deep understanding of the complex needs of our customers and the issues they face whilst being out of employment or under-qualified/ skilled. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to build effective and strong relationships with internal and external partners. 

The role is based in Gosforth with extensive travel across Northumberland, Newcastle, Gateshead, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland.
