Percy Hedley Foundation is supported by Central Services to ensure that the infrastructure fully supports staff and service user needs. There are individual specialist areas, coming together to form an effective service that covers Foundation-wide activities.

The Foundation processes data within care and education sectors in addition to business activities associated with a charity organisation. The role is primarily to develop, implement and monitor robust systems that comply with all necessary regulations and legislation (e.g. General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 1998), through cooperation with services and departments across the Foundation.

·        Primary contact concerning data protection, being the nominated DPO.

·        Develop policies for document collection, processing, storage and destruction of sensitive data.

·        Evaluate risks within systems and escalate as necessary.

·        Maintain action list for continuous improvements and Subject Access Requests register.
