North East Autism Society is a charity which provides specialist day and residential services for children, young people and adults with Autism Spectrum Condition / Neuro-diversity including Asperger Syndrome.  Established over 35 years ago, we provide a range of quality services to enable those within our services to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

We are currently looking to recruit a number of part time Administration Assistant to based at Aycliffe School in Newton Aycliffe.

The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a team to help maintain the smooth operation and running of the School Office and reception area.  In addition, you must be able to provide a high quality service incorporating the values of the service, working within the Society’s policies and procedures.   The role will include being the main point of contact for incoming telephone calls and visitors reporting to the School office.  You will carry out various administrative duties including data entry, coordination of meetings and minute taking.  You will also be expected to undertake general administration duties as appropriate.  Administrative experience is essential.  You must also be prepared to work at other sites if required.

To succeed in this role you will have excellent ICT skills with a proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office.  You will be required to time manage and prioritise multiple tasks in this dynamic and fast paced environment.  You will be a good communicator with a clear and confident telephone manner.  In return, we offer excellent terms and conditions and the opportunity to work in a positive, friendly and rewarding environment, building your experience and expertise.
