MySector1 status
  • There is no obligation to pay full pay when staff are absent due to sickness
  • Statutory sick pay (SSP) is paid at a rate set by the government and is reviewed annually. It is paid for a period of 28 weeks in one period of incapacity for work
  • There is no payment for the first three days and SSP is paid from the fourth day onwards providing its conditions are met.
  • SSP is earnings related
