Description

Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a primary school in the Northallerton area. We have been approached by the Head Teacher of this thriving primary school to assist in the search for a full time Year 5 Teacher to commence a long term role as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be required to deliver a stimulating and engaging curriculum that is tailored to the meet the needs of a diverse and mixed ability class. Using assessment strategies and target setting, you will be able to plan for progression in order to drive results forward in upper KS2.



This successful primary school is well regarded within the local community and has excellent facilities and resources. You will have a full time TA in class and therefore, you will need to deploy your TA effectively to support teaching and enhance pupil learning. Behaviour standards across the school are very high and you will need to fully embrace the school's behaviour management policy and ethos in order to uphold standards. You will need to demonstrate your ability to cater to the needs of children with varying levels of ability as well as those identified as having SEN.



The successful applicant will have:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK

  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

  • Previous experience of teaching in the UK

  • Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS2

  • Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare

  • The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds

  • Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard

  • A commitment to improving attainment for all students

  • A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
