At Butterwick Hospice Care we strive to ensure the very highest quality of care for our patients and their families. We currently have over 600 volunteers helping us deliver this level of care and we are looking for new people to join our excellent team. Butterwick Hospice Care offers respite and end of life care for children and adults from across Teesside, County Durham, Wearside and North Yorkshire.
As Volunteer Complementary Therapist it will be part of your role to assess and plan patients' treatment and prepare clear documentation of given treatments and patient response, under the guidance of the Head of Complementary Therapies. You will be an experienced and qualified individual (ie, successfully completed training in their specified field to at least diploma level) who will also have professional registration and insurance.
Volunteer Complementary Therapists play a vital role in ensuring patients are able to benefit from holistic care in a sociable and welcoming environment that can make patients feel comfortable and relaxed.
