Principal Teachers are working in partnership with a secondary school based in the Northallerton area. The school has a vacancy for a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to begin a long term post as soon as possible on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and experienced in the delivery of German to KS4 level and the ability to teach a second language would be highly advantageous. The Head Teacher has approached Principal Teachers to assist in the school's search for an inspiring and creative German specialist teacher to motivate students of all abilities and deliver an enriching curriculum. You will be required to inspire a love of learning languages in all students and tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of diverse classes.



This thriving secondary school is based in an area near to Northallerton and is very well regarded within the local community. The Head Teacher is seeking a professional, who can provide the students with exceptional learning experiences in MFL to encourage students to realise their full potential. You will need to be able to plan and assess meticulously in collaboration with your department colleagues in order to drive results forward. Behaviour across the school is good and you will be expected to consistently enforce the school's behaviour management policy to ensure standards are upheld.




The successful applicant will have:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK

  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

  • Previous experience of teaching in the UK

  • Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for MFL (German)

  • Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare

  • The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds

  • Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard

  • A commitment to improving attainment for all students

  • A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
