Applications are invited for the post of Police Staff Investigator within the Directorate of Standards and Ethics based at Hartlepool Police Station, as one of a team dealing with both Police Officer and Police Staff investigations.

The successful candidate will be required to assist in the efficient and effective investigation into complaint and disciplinary matters by gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing all relevant paperwork.

Duties will include conducting interviews with witnesses, obtaining witness statements, preparing reports, arranging and preparing for Disciplinary Meetings and Hearings and preparing and serving relevant Regulation notices and police staff equivalent on those members of staff alleged to be the subject of misconduct investigations.

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to attend a one week mandatory residential course with overnight stay. We anticipate the course to be held in March.
