Hope North East provides a range of services to support people who are in Recovery from drugs and alcohol and for those working towards this goal.

Building on significant growth over the last 5years and following successful Charity Commission registration in 2012 and the award of a significant contract for 3 years we are now looking to appoint a CEO to work with the Board of Trustees to be responsible for developing, reviewing and delivering the organisation's mission and strategic plan, responding to the needs of our service users.

The person we are looking for will be a self-starter who can work together with our staff, volunteers, trustees, clients, stakeholders and partner organisations in order to develop the organisation for a secure long term future, reaching more people in the community where help and support is needed.

You will need to have a strong values base, be a compassionate leader with significant experience of running small organisations or large projects and success in developing quality services.

We are looking for a person with competence across a range of disciplines, including communication, marketing, finance, staff management, partnership working, service development, contract management, audit, quality and governance.

Direct experience of addiction either as a worker, user of services, personal self-management or as a carer or relative is important to us. It is also a requirement that you are abstinent from all illegal substances; and preferably circumspect in your personal management of legal addictive substances and activity, such as alcohol, smoking and gambling.
