We are seeking to appoint a conscientious caretaker as a valued member of our school team.

This is a full time post with a split shift pattern of work over early morning and late afternoon/evening. You will need to have a flexible approach to your work and additional hours may be required as and when the need arises. You also have the option to reside in on-site in accommodation provided by the school if desired.

You will: -

- Be committed to maintaining and improving the quality of the school environment for the benefit of the children and staff.
- Be responsible for site security, opening and closing as and when required and be a named key holder.
- Carry out first line repairs and maintenance.
- Identify and report preventative maintenance and carry out more specialist repairs/works.
- Monitor and direct the cleaning staff.
- Health & Safety responsibilities
- Liaise with contract and admin staff and other service users.

Salary: Grade B+ | SCP: 11 - Grade B+ | SCP: 13 | £14,733 - £15,444 per annum pro rata

Residential Caretaker - (Grade B+) 25 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a Caretaker to undertake general Caretaking duties and complete more specialist work required from a competent DIYer. The successful applicant will also be responsible for the monitoring and directing the cleaner(s). Other responsibilities of the job include
- Carrying out first line repairs and maintenance
- Ensuring the premises are open for use as and when required
- Identifying and reporting preventative maintenance and carrying out specialist repairs and works
- Regular checking of security devices
- Operating the heating plant.

The Caretaker's bungalow is of a high standard and has recently been refurbished - including the installation of a new boiler earlier this year. A beech finish kitchen is installed, which includes a selection of integrated white goods. Decoration and flooring are left to the discretion of the successful applicant.

The person appointed will be the nominated key holder for the school premises.
