&lt;p&gt;Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Housing Lawyer / Legal Officer in Shrewsbury. The Housing Lawyer / Legal Officer will be rewarded with a salary circa of £31,500.00.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Housing Lawyer / Legal Officer will join a small legal team to provide legal advice and assistance to their housing management teams covering all aspects of housing / property law and general tenancy management issues.  This post will ensure that a professional legal service of the highest possible standard is provided across the organisation.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Leading on the provision of housing law and tenancy management advice, you will have your own case load, ensure that colleagues are kept abreast of key developments in the law, delivering specialist training sessions to maintain the professional expertise of their staff.  You will support the development of tenancy and housing management policy and draw up organisational procedures that ensure regulations are followed at all times.  You will also represent the Association in court proceedings where it is relevant to do so.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate will be either a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive and will possess relevant specialist knowledge of housing law and tenancy management including drafting, providing legal advice and undertaking representation in court.  In this challenging role, you must also be familiar with property matters such as right to buy, commercial leases, Leaseholder and Shared Ownership. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;They are looking for a self-motivated individual who has a good understanding of the needs of housing professionals, the changing external environment and the skills to confidently deal with conflict in sometimes challenging situations.&lt;/p&gt;
