You will manage a portfolio of contracts on behalf of the five Tees Valley Local Authorities including responsibility for major contract areas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The successful Contracts Manager will demonstrate:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Contract management experience including contract negotiation, preparing contract documentation, and performance management.&lt;br /&gt;- An understanding of Public Health Commissioning priorities and the ability to interpret and advise on the chosen contracting vehicle of the respective Local Authority (including the Department of Health Public Health Contract and the NHS Standard Contract).&lt;br /&gt;- A successful track record within a commissioning role having worked across the commissioning cycle.&lt;br /&gt;- Strong stakeholder management and proven decision making skills. &lt;br /&gt;- Highly developed analytical skills with a good understanding of the financial and performance elements of commissioning.&lt;br /&gt;- Excellent written and presentation skills.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a member of a newly established shared-service function you will support the development of innovative working practices in the area of public health contracting and commissioning. Working both autonomously and in collaboration with five Local Authorities, you will have opportunities to support the determination of your workload and contribute to the delivery of an efficient and effective specialist public health support service.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
