      <title>Employment Coach - Mental Health Matters</title>

We have a dedicated and experienced staff team of over 400 people providing a comprehensive range of services which cover every aspect of individuals' lives, from employment and housing to community support and psychological services.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mental Health Matters' ultimate aim is to strengthen the voice, rights and independence of service users, carers and family and friends.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Fixed term contract until October 2014.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;An exciting opportunity to work with adults with mild to moderate mental health needs who require support to gain and retain employment has arisen within our Talking Changes service, which has been set up to improve access to psychological therapies (also known as talking therapies) across County Durham and Darlington.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The service is part of the national improving access to psychological therapies (IAPT) programme and is run by a joint venture between Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and Mental Health Matters. You will work closely with colleagues to source referrals from within the service as well as from external partners, carry out vocational assessments and compile an action plan with each individual. Working as part of a team delivering both one to one and group based support, you will work closely with employers, training providers and other agencies, supporting a caseload of individuals on their chosen route to gain and retain employment.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will be educated to a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent standard, with experience of working with people who have experienced mental health issues and / or other disadvantaged groups having an understanding of the barriers they face in accessing and retaining employment. The posts will operate throughout the County Durham and Darlington, with two based in the North and two in the South.&lt;/p&gt;
