&lt;p&gt;Our clients Scarborough North team of the Housing Department is seeking to appoint a part-time Housing Officer.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In this key role the Housing Officer will deliver an excellent, effective, efficient and sensitive generic housing management service for the Associations customers. Supporting the Housing Services Manager and working as part of a Team you will provide a generic housing function in line with the policies, procedures and targets.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Other duties will include rent arrears management and recovery, dealing with anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes, identifying estate improvements and rejuvenation projects, and allocation of properties. As performance management is an important aspect of culture of our client, there is the requirement to assist in the attainment of targets, the provision of performance monitoring data and accountability for individual performance against set targets.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate will need have a good standard level of education with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at A – C grades or equivalent. Self-motivated and well organised you will have excellent customer care skills and you will also possess the ability to work under pressure. As a committed team player with a “can do” approach you will have a sound knowledge of social housing, relevant housing legislation and a good understanding of the services provided by our client.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;They are currently seeking a Standby Mobile Warden to join their team based inYork. The main purpose of this role is to provide a high quality personalised support service to customers whilst promoting independence and choice. You will provide evening, night time, weekend and bank holiday emergency cover for the out of hours 24 hour alarm and warden service. Within this role your main responsibilities will include liaising with monitoring providers to establish the best course of action, liaising with customers, relatives, emergency services, health care personnel and any other services necessary to provide the best level of support and responding to fire alarm activation at schemes, ensuring the safety of customers and offering reassurance. You will also be expected to make observations when on site to equipment including alarms and communication systems, CCTV and door entry systems to ensure safety and security to building and maintain records.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;You will work on a rota basis to cover the out of hours service of the Mobile Warden, including call-out responses. It is a requirement of the post to be able to respond within a set time limit of maximum 30 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate will have worked within care positions previously, will have a good level of general education and will ideally hold a current first aid certificate. A strong communicator, you will have the ability to deal effectively within a wide range of customers and you will be aware of the need for confidentiality for customers. Highly organised, you will be able to plan and prioritise your tasks effectively and you will be confident in your approach with the ability to be sympathetic to the needs of customers.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is a zero hours contract with a flat rate payment made when on duty. Additional payments will be made for any call outs attended. You will need to have a full driving licence and use of a car. Mileage for any travel will be reimbursed.&lt;/p&gt;

Maintaining regular, agreed contact with customers, you will establish and promote wellbeing, providing an agreed level of support to each customer through to completion and maintenance of support plans and outcome forms. You will regularly test and instruct customers in the use of emergency alarm equipment, arrange for the repair / replacement of faulty equipment and respond to alarm calls taking action as appropriate. You will also be expected to maintain scheme records, encourage recreational and social activities and undertake accompanied viewings of void properties with prospective tenants.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will ideally hold an IOH Warden’s certificate. You must have experience of care, and ideally of supporting Older People and you will have highly developed inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers. An in depth knowledge of service available to Older People along with an understanding of the QAF and Supporting People Funding would be advantageous as would living close enough to base to be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This is a temporary role fixed until 1stNovember pending the outcome of a period of consultation within their Older Persons Services with a view to become permanent.&lt;/p&gt;
